Crash Slows Traffic On Turnpike

Trucker Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailers Collide

SOMERSET, Pa. —

A wild crash backed up traffic on the Pennsylvania Turnpike for miles Tuesday morning.

Three tractor-trailers collided at mile marker 102 in Somerset County at around 8 a.m.

It all started after one of the truck drivers lost control and hit a median, police said.

Emergency crews said one lane in each direction was closed until about 2 p.m., and one of the truck drivers was taken to the hospital.

The condition of the truck driver was unknown late Tuesday afternoon.

The crash is under investigation.
