Crews Brave Frigid Temperatures To Fix Water Line Break

Crews have been in frigid temperatures all Monday morning repairing a water line that burst in Clearfield County.

Workers in Cooper Township discovered the break around midnight. The 8-inch line encased in cement broke under a small stream in Windburne, officials said.

As of noon, most residents have municipal water service, but all 1,400 customers in Cooper Township are asked to conserve water since water is coming from two storage tanks.

Officials said they hope to have the line fixed by late Monday afternoon.
