Crews Continue Work At Site Of Johnstown Rockslide

PennDOT contractors returned to the scene Monday after a second rockslide blocked a Cambria County highway.

Barely a week after workers finally cleared Menoher Highway of one rockslide from early December, a second broke through the newly rebuilt fencing last week and spilled rocks over both lanes.

The highway is closed to traffic and detours remained in effect Monday.

PennDOT officials said the road will not reopen until they're convinced the problem is solved.
