GLASGOW, Pa. —
A witness told WJAC-TV that the former J.H. Hommer Lumber Co. in Glasgow is on fire. The structure currently houses J&K Hardware.
The witness said she counted more than 20 fire trucks, including crews from Patton, Asheville and several companies from outside of the area.
The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m., and the woman said there may be some type of hazardous condition because firefighters were being pulled back.
The witness said the Hommer family is well known in the area and the business is historical to local people. She said Hommer's used to sell painted Christmas trees that were very popular in the area.
