CVB Employees Had Support All The Way

JOHNSTOWN —

Those originally charged were CVB Executive Director, Lisa Dailey, Jayne Korenosky, and Karen Soliday, but the Cambria County District Attorney dismissed charges against all three today.

The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement said that three Johnstown - Cambria County Convention and Visitors Bureau workers kept beer sales money that should have gone to three volunteer fire companies who owned the liquor licenses the CVB was using.

Thursday the Cambria County District Attorney's Office dropped those charges.

Court was no place to handle this type of matter. It involves very good people Those type of disputes are resolved by arbitration, mediation, and settlement, says the three ladies Attorney, Robert Gleason.

It was pure relief, says CVB President Richard Burkert.

Burkert and the CVB Board supported the three defendants from the day the charges were first announced.

CVB Executive Director Lisa Dailey issued a statement on behalf of all three as soon as the charges were dropped: "We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this situation and wish to express our sincere thanks to our board of directors, elected officials, members of the business community, industry colleagues, family members and friends who immediately offered their support to us and to our organization."

Big Christmas part for these women who we didn't understand why they found themselves in that position, says Burkert.

They are really jubilant and they should be, it's nice to represent three innocent people, says Gleason.

This whole situation may not be over yet. The criminal charges have been dropped but their attorney says there still could be some civil action in this case.
