Deadly Stretch Of Route 36

Driving into the Loysburg Gap Curve, you can't help but feel like it's one of those turns that just keeps going and going and going...But one thing is for sure, area residents say people go just a little too fast. The speed limit is 35 mph but locals say many drivers go 55 or faster...leading to many deadly accidents. One group of residents has had enough and is calling on the Bedford County Planning Commission to pass their suggestions along to Penndot at a meeting next month. Penndot has agreed to install rumble strips but no one sure yet if that will help curve the number of deaths along this treacherous part of Route 36.
