Developer considers Centre Co. building for affordable housing

By WJAC Web Staff

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. —

Talks continue on the possibility of more affordable housing in a Centre County community where many people said it's badly needed.

A developer is eying the Cadillac Building in Bellefonte, which was heavily damaged in a fire a few years ago. Plans call for the possibility of the building being refurbished with the construction of up to 30 apartments aimed at workforce housing.

Officials said the developer also hopes to work with Bellefonte leaders regarding zoning changes to provide more parking and residential incentives.
