Diaper Rash Death

Mother Pleads Guilty

Cambria County —

Amy Livingston plead guilty to three charges: involuntary manslaughter, endangering the life of her four year-old and in an unrelated case, the statutory rape of a 15 year-old boy.

Little Harley Livingston died in December covered head to toe with severe diaper rash that turned deadly. Livingston's four year-old son also suffered from diaper rash, but it was caught and treated in time after Harley's death was reported.

Amy Livingston's mother, Evelyn Mrsnik, director of a daycare in Johnstown at the time of Harley's death, also faces criminal charges. Officials say, as the director of Little Spartan Daycare where the two boys often stayed, it was her responsibility to report any suspected neglect or abuse. So do officials believe justice has been served?

Cambria County District Attorney, Dave Tulowitzki says, "Obviously when we can avoid a jury trial that's what we like to do. She's accepting responsibility for her actions. There was a lot of publicity when this case first broke and I think the proper resolution has occurred."

Livingston is scheduled to be sentenced in August. There's no word yet on what her sentence could be or when her mother will face a judge.
