Drug Kingpin May Appeal Verdict

The attorney for reputed Centre County drug kingpin Taji Lee said he'll review the case against his client before deciding whether to appeal.

Lee, 25, could be sentenced to at least 30 years in prison after a jury convicted him Thursday of masterminding a cocaine and heroin ring which operated in the county.

Deputy Attorney General Dave Gorman said he's satisfied with the outcome.

"Obviously if he had been found guilty of everything, he certainly would have been potentially facing more time, but obviously we are pleased with the jury's verdict," Gorman said.

Lee was charged with distributing more than $1.5 million worth of drugs.

He is expected to be sentenced in July.
