DuBois Names New Police Chief

DUBOIS, Pa. —

The city of DuBois didn't have to look far for a new police chief.

At a meeting Monday, the City Council named Steve Davis as acting chief.

Davis has been at the department for more than 20 years.

For the last few years, he has worked at DuBois High School as a school resource officer.

Davis said he had planned to retire in February.

He added that he is excited about his new position and a new phase in his career.
