Escaped Prisoner Captured In High School Locker Room

Officials said a prisoner who escaped during a work release program was captured in a high school football field locker room.

John Waltemire, a prisoner at the Cambria County Jail, escaped while cutting grass Monday at the Northern Cambria Senior center as part of a work release program

Police said Waltemire was cutting grass and walked away just before noon while wearing an orange jumpsuit. Soon after, police said he changed into black shorts and a T-shirt.

He was later caught in the football field locker room at Northern Cambria High School.
