JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

A Johnstown man convicted of murdering his wife more than 20 years ago was back in federal court on Wednesday seeking a new trial in his case.

Kevin Siehl has maintained that he is innocent in the 1991 death of Christine Siehl.

In 2009, the U.S. 3rd Circuit Court ordered a new evidentiary hearing and asked the U.S. District Court to review the effectiveness of Siehl's public defenders during his trial.

Officials said it will be at least a month before a ruling is returned regarding Wednesday's hearing in Johnstown.
