By Bill Wadell

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. —

Authorities confirmed to 6News that a fall from a fifth-floor apartment window at Caulder Commons Saturday night has been ruled accidental, but detectives are still investigating the circumstances of the incident.

According to Twitter and Facebook updates on support pages, 19-year-old Paige Raque is still listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Altoona Regional with head trauma, after falling through the screen, out the window and landing on the pavement.

According to the student directory, Paige is a health and human development student and is a varsity cheerleader at Penn State University.

Officers with the State College Police Department told 6News Tuesday afternoon that detectives have conducted a number of interviews with people at the reported apartment party and said that more information about the circumstances of the incident should be released by the end of the week.

Raque’s brother Parker, who is the captain of the PSU men’s gymnastics’ team, tweeted that his sister is surrounded by friends and family from Louisville, Ky., and that she has shown slight signs of progress.
