Family Of Fallen Marine Thanks Community For Support

By Rich Wisniewski

DUBOIS,Pa —

Josh Martino's mother Karen Perry says she's still not ready to go on TV, but tells us off camera that she wants to thank those in the DuBois area for their continued support they have given the family. Perry explains that the community has gone above and beyond to offer their condolences and prayers.

Since learning of their son's death Tuesday morning, Perry says  family, friends and complete strangers have offered their apologies and sympathies, which she says have really made all the difference in the world.

Another person struggling with the loss, is Martino's fiance, Anna. Anna tells me that the couple started dating when they were sixteen and have been inseperable ever since. They got engaged this past October and went away to Lancaster for vacation. Anna says some of her and Josh's friends from high school have offered their condolences to her, which she wants people to know, she greatly appreciates.

Perry tells me the night Martino was killed was actually going to be one of his last nights in Nevada; he was going to return back to North Carolina where he was stationed and was planning on returning to his hometown of DuBois this weekend.
