The nation's Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced Monday in Washington that the federal government has reached an agreement with all the property landowners for the Flight 93 permanent memorial site.
The total cost of the land was $9.5 million.
A price was negotiated between both the National Park Service and landowners for all but one of the properties. That property belongs to Svonavec Incorporated. Both the National Park Service and the company decided that the Department of Justice should determine the value of the property.
The National Park Service plans to file the court document for the Svonavec property within the next two weeks to start proceedings with the Department of Justice.
The agency plans on finishing the reaming deals by October and break ground in November.
