Fire Destroys Jefferson Co. House

BROCKWAY, Pa. —

A woman who owned a home that caught fire in Brockway Wednesday morning had no insurance, according to a state fire marshal.

Veronica Gourley was at her home in the 700 block of Strishock Road when the blaze broke out just after 3 a.m., but made it out safely.

The fire marshal said that the fire caused about $200,000 in damages and the home is a total loss.
