Fire Destroys Northern Cambria Home

A fire that completely destroyed a Barr Township home was caught on tape by a neighbor.

Fire crews responded just after 2 a.m. and found the two-story home on the 100 block of Trout Road fully engulfed in flames.

Nancy Davis, who lives next door and took video of the fire, said she was awakened by the rumbling of a fire engine and a fire whistle.

Crews battled the blaze for two hours, but the home was destroyed.

No one was home at the time of the fire. Davis said the woman who lives there grew up at the house and moved back into it five years ago.

A state fire marshal is expected to be at the scene Monday to investigate. Stay with WJAC-TV News and WJACTV.com for continuing coverage.
