Flight 93 Task Force Meets In Shanksville

Related

A day after a meeting of the Flight 93 Advisory Committee, members of the entire Task Force were back at it again Saturday with one goal in mind. The creation of a permanent national memorial. The Task Force met in Shanksville and spent time with design and fundraising consultants. Task Force members say they hope the process begins to move along faster. Gary Singel of the Flight 93 Task Force says "I think there's a lot of excitement to get going on these things. It's a combination of anxiety and excitement. Anxiety because we haven't gotten to that point yet, and excitement because we are getting there." The Task Force says the next step now is to finalize the border of the Flight 93 park. Then a competition will begin for the design of the memorial. That is set to kick-off on September 11th.
