A NATIONAL MEMORIAL AT THE FLIGHT 93 CRASH SITE MOVES ONE STEP CLOSER TO REALITY.
THOSE IN CHARGE OF THE PROJECT ARE MEETING THIS WEEKEND IN SOMERSET COUNTY TO REVIEW THE PLANS.
MEMBERS OF THE FLIGHT 93 MEMORIAL TASK FORCE GATHERED TODAY IN SHANKSVILLE.
THE SESSION INCLUDED SEVERAL UPDATES FROM THE VARIOUS COMMITTEES OF THE TASK FORCE -- INCLUDING HOW THE NEGOTIATIONS ARE GOING FOR LAND ACQUISITION.
THEY ALSO DISCUSSED HIRING CONSULTANTS THAT WILL REPRESENT THE TASK FORCE FOR FUNDRAISING AND MEMORIAL DESIGN.
TASK FORCE MEMBERS SAY A PRESENTATION OF THE MEMORIAL'S DESIGN SHOULD COME SOMETIME NEXT YEAR. CONSTRUCTION IS SET TO BEGIN LATE IN 2005.
