Foreign trade zone debated at Cambria Co. Airport Authority meeting

By WJAC Web Staff

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

The effort to create a foreign trade zone at Johnstown-Cambria County Airport was reportedly the subject of a heated meeting of the Airport Authority Wednesday

Thursday's Tribune-Democrat said some Authority members rejected an effort by Cambria President Commissioner Doug Lengenfelder to approve a long-term agreement with a consultant.

Instead, the Airport Authority accepted a short-term agreement with the promise that a foreign trade zone will be studied further.

Lengenfelder is heading to Argentina today on a trip to attract business to the Cambria County.
