SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. —

A former teacher, school board member and church official from Somerset County will stand trial on charges he engaged in inappropriate behavior with a young boy.

Brian Eppley waived his court hearing Monday. Investigators said the incidents happened at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren in Jerome, where Eppley was a deacon.

Eppley is accused of similar crimes involving two other boys. He decided last week to stand trial on those charges.
