CURWENSVILLE, Pa. —
Curwensville borough police are looking for the publics help regarding four arsons in the borough that have happened since the start of 2012.
Police said, on January 1 crews were called to a fire at an unoccupied home along State Street. Officials said that the fire began in the basement.
On February 11, police said that someone targeted the Curwensville Feed store along Filbert Street. The owner of the store said that the fire was behind the store in the storage area. The owner told 6 News that there was a few thousand dollars in damage.
A few days later, police were called back to the feed store on February 13. Officials said someone tried to start a display on fire outside of the store.
Curwensville police said that the next reported fire was on Friday. Police later determined it was arson. Officials said that a car at the business next to the feed store was found with fire damage.
One store owner who was a victim of an arson said that she hopes whoever is doing this will stop. She said that the community is terrified to see what could happen next.
