A committee met Tuesday morning to consider competing bids from two doctors interested in running Philipsburg Hospital.
Monday, the physicians submitted bids in an effort to reopen the facility and offer the same level of medical services the hospital provided before it closed in the spring.
The hospital and its contents were scheduled to be sold at an auction, but that auction was cancelled in the midst of the new negotiations.
