Gas Prices Climb Again

Just when drivers were starting to adjust to $3.29 a gallon for gasoline, the prices went up again across the region.

The week ended with those same drivers now digging out another dime per gallon to fill their tanks. Several people said the high price has been tough to pay and to get used to the price increases.

With the increase in fuel prices, the cost of food is also rising. According the the federal farm bureau, the prices at the grocery store have jumped up 8 percent so far this year.

Flour, cheddar cheese, vegetable oil and corn oil are among the items that will cost you more. The hike at the store is being blamed on rising gas prices and the increasing demand for crops used in the production of ethanol.
