By WJAC Web Staff

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. —

The girlfriend of a man who killed three people in a shooting spree will stand trial on accusations she bought the gun used in the crime.

Police say Brenda Schultz purchased the handgun for Jeffrey Lee Michael at a sporting goods store in Hollidaysburg two years ago.

Police said Michael shot and killed three people on Dec. 21 along Juniata Valley Road near Geeseytown before dying in a shootout with state police.

Schultz told officials she bought the handgun after Michael picked it out and gave her cash for it.

Police said Schultz was charged by claiming to be the rightful owner.
