GM Of WJAC-TV Retiring At Year's End

Dick Schrott Has Been General Manager Of WJAC-TV Since 2000

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

The general manager of WJAC-TV will retire at the end of the year.

Dick Schrott has been general manager of WJAC-TV since 2000 and has worked at the station in other capacities for 30 years. His father, Alvin, was the station's general manager when it went on the air in 1949.

Schrott, who lives in Westmont, said he wants to spend more time with his wife, Patti, and their grandchildren.

Mark Barash from sister station WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh will be interim general manager. Parent company Cox Media Group in Atlanta hasn't named Schrott's replacement.
