If you live in Cambria County, your taxes haven't gone up in 10 years. That may sound like good news-- until you hear this.
During that time, the county has gotten itself in debt to the amount of 12 million dollars. On Tuesday, commissioners looked at the budget and what options they have. They are trying to finalize an 11.5 million dollar loan, but some fingers are pointing at Laurel Crest again. P.J. Stevens said, "We estimate the shortfall to be about 3 million dollars.... Our mission is to reduce cost and increase revenues if we must."
The budget was reviewed line by line to see where cost could be cut.
