Whether you just got a new home computer or youve been a long time user, the Good Housekeeping Institute has found three new high-tech accessories that could come in handy.

It's great to have a home computer, but some new accessories can make using it even easier. For instance, some people find the "track-pad" on laptops more frustrating than functional.

Logitech has a new mouse out that is great for laptops because its small and you just throw it in your bag and go," says Stacy Genovese, Engineering Director, Good Housekeeping Institute. "Or even if you are working at home and youre a woman with a small hand, its smaller, so it fits your hand more comfortably.

The Logitech mouse runs on a single AA battery, and a low- power light lets you know when its time for a change.

Now, if you type a lot, youll appreciate the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. "If you spend a lot of time typing on a keyboard you can get pain in your wrists and in your upper arms," says Genovese. "The solution to this is an ergonomic keyboard. Microsoft has come out with a new keyboard that is not only curved but also slopes downward so your arms and hands are in a very natural position while typing.

This keyboard also has a lot of extra features. "A really cool feature is the zoom lever right in the center of the keyboard," adds Genovese. "You push this lever up or down and it automatically zooms in and out of whatever youre looking at on your display.

One of the best ways to protect your CDs, DVDs and game discs from getting scratched is with transparent "d_skin Protective Disc Skins."

These are clear protective coatings that snap onto your discs and you can play them through this coating. You dont have to worry about taking them off and putting them back on. The d_skin Disc Protectors are great for people who tend to leave their CDs and DVDs loose on a desk, says Genovese.

The Logitech Cordless Mini Optical Mouse can be used with a PC or a Macintosh computer.
