Groundbreaking Ceremony Held For Clearfield Y.M.C.A.

CLEARFIELD, Pa. —

Officials and residents came together Thursday to break ground for a massive overhaul of the Clearfield YMCA.

That project is expected to cost around $5 million.

Officials said some of that total is coming from state grants.

But a large portion, around $2 million, was raised by the community.

Officials said donors include businesses from Clearfield and also people who have used the YMCA. for years.

The renovated and expanded building will include a six-lane swimming pool and a new gymnasium.

Officials said many part of the current YMCA. were built nearly 80 years ago.
