Groundbreaking Held For New Laurel Highlands Business Park

Thousands of new jobs could be headed to Somerset County, officials said Friday.

County leaders broke ground on the Laurel Highlands Business Park and said the 100 acres on Route 31 could create 3,000 new jobs over the next decade.

Commissioner Pamela Tokar-Ickes said leaders hope they are "family-sustaining jobs."

In addition to high-speed Internet, all of the utilities are ready to go for businesses to move in. Stay with WJAC-TV News, WJACTV.com and WJACTV.com Mobile for continuing coverage.
