Group Focuses On Business Development

Members of the Johnstown Area Regional Industries met on Thursday, with their focus on the future of the organization and its ability to attract new international companies to our region.

The main question: What makes Johnstown a place where international companies will want to do business?

JARI President Linda Thomson said the group is having some success in attracting new international companies to the area. Presently, companies from Norway, Spain, Belgium and Canada operate locally.

Thomson said the region's workforce is one of JARI's key ingredients in attracting outside firms to Johnstown.
