Group Picks Up Tons Of Trash In Cambria County

Local volunteers are answering the call to clean-up an illegal dumping area in Cambria County, near the Indiana County line. They're picking up an estimated 20 tons of trash and more than 400 tires along Route 403 in West Taylor Township. The clean-up covered a 1.5 mile stretch. Organizers with PA Cleanways say they're looking for a local volunteer to prevent dumping in the future. Shawn Wigle of PA Cleanways says "we'll be keeping an eye on it." PA Cleanways also plans to ask Penn-Dot to eliminate several pull-offs in the area which they believe contribute to the illegal dumping.
