Head Start Classes Delayed

ALTOONA, Pa. —

The state budget impasse has caused the Blair County Head Start to delay classes.

School officials told WJAC that they pushed back the start date for classes by one week, and hours may also be reduced.

They hope to start the week of Sept. 7. Two programs at the head start are fully funded by the state, and those won't begin until a budget is in place.

The Blair County Head Start serves about 300 students.
