Stolen SUV Leads Thief To Crash Into Home

Cambria County —

It happened in the 8th Ward Section of the city. Johnstown police say Vance Nunley stole the SUV while a mother was inside a house picking up her kids from a babysitter. Nunley took off and was spotted by police along Central Avenue where the chase got underway. Numerous attempts to pull the stolen Explorer over failed. Nunley crashed the vehicle into a garage at a home along Donna Drive where police made the arrest. Nunley faces a number of charges including one felony for stealing the SUV. Police also say he was driving drunk.
