Highway Deaths In Pennsylvania Rise Five Percent Over Last Year

According to AAA, highway fatalities in Pennsylvania rose more than five percent last year.

More than 1,300 people died in traffic crashes across the state last year.

AAA said there were significant increases in accidents involving teen drivers and people not wearing their seat belts.

The spike came after years of declines.

The group wants Pennsylvania to join the other states that have banned text messaging while driving.
