Hoagie Sale Raises Money To Mail Care Packages

Volunteers spent the day making hoagies with the hopes of raising enough money to send care packages to soldiers with the Frankstown Bravo Company 166.

Members of Frankstown Armory had about 160 care packages to send to soldiers overseas but they didn't have enough money for postage.

Local businesses donated supplies to the Frankstown Armory.

They had enough materials to make 1300 hoagies.

One person came in, bought 4 hoagies, handed volunteers $200 and said keep the change.

Organizer Hope Benning said they raised enough money for the postage of the care packages.

They have enough left over to start putting together care packages for the soldiers for the summer months.
