SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. —

A Somerset County fire department is doing their part to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Hooversville Fire Department is donating one of its fire trucks to the West Hamilton Beach Fire Department in New York.

The department is based in the Queens-area and suffered a lot of devastation from Hurricane Sandy.

The department said they can relate after Hooversville suffered a flood in the 1990s, and believe it’s the right thing to do when it comes to a fellow department.

The community of Hooversville also raised $500 to donate to the same department.
