Horner Trial Delayed

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. —

The death penalty trial of an Iraq War Veteran has been delayed two weeks so a psychiatrist can further study his state of mind.

Jury selection was to begin October 4th in the trial of 31-year-old Nicholas Horner.

Horner is charged with killing two men at a Subway restaurant in 2009.

Jury selection is now scheduled for October 18th and testimony is expected to get underway the following week.

Horner claims he has post traumatic stress and was not in the right state of mind the day of the shootings.
