Hundreds Walk For A Cause

Cambria County —

We're talking about heart disease, and this year, more than 500 walkers participated in the county's annual heart walk. The 2.5 mile walk is to focus attention on just how important exercising really is if you want a healthy heart. Teams of walkers from companies, schools, community groups and local survivors raised money. All of the proceeds are used for heart research.

Every year more than 930,000 Americans die from heart disease. In just one year, the American Heart Association invests more than 400-million-dollars to try to ensure longer lives.
