Police calls it "straw purchasing"....It's when a person buys a gun from a gun shop or dealer, and then trades it for drugs. And that's what the majority of ten people today are accused of. Police say for years, hundreds of guns have been recovered in other cities and then traced back here to Blair County. Police are then able to get records from gun dealers and look for repeated buyers. Then they start asking those people questions, mainly where those guns are now. Seven of the ten suspects have been arrested, one has been deported and the other two are from out of state. The arrests come after a year and a half long investigation and each faces significant jail time if convicted.
