Indiana County Family Worried After Adult Basic Cuts

STRONGSTOWN, Pa. —

David and Connie Griffiths of Indiana County are concerned about the recent Adult Basic health care program cuts.

The Griffithses switched to Highmark Special Care, but it's a significant difference in payments a month.

David Griffiths is 67 years old and is worried he might have to start looking for a job to pay for his wife's medical bills and monthly insurance costs.

Connie Griffiths has several health conditions which requires her to go to the doctor's office at least every two months.

The state can't afford to keep the program running so they're making cuts and it's affecting about 41,000 Pennsylvanians.

If this is affecting you, call 800-GO-BASIC for other options.
