Inmate Sentenced For Forging Checks From Jail

A prison inmate who pleaded guilty to writing phony checks from jail has been sentenced to additional time in jail.

Chad Dickson, 31, was sentenced to three to six years in prison after he admitted he used a typewriter at the Cresson State Prison to make the bogus checks.

The scheme netted about $30,000 and was uncovered during an investigation into drug activity.
