It's being called one of the largest insurance scams in Pennsylvania history. 6 people face charges. The state Attorney General's office says they perfected the "slip and fall" technique.

Attorney General Jerry Pappert called it Operation Family Fraud; an investigation that charged six people with over 80 counts of insurance fraud. The suspects are Janet Betar, Patricia Yeager, Richard Frye, Jr., Thomas Miller, Charles Colson, and Travis Brickner.

Authorities say the family staged accidents at various businesses around the region and then filed insurance claims for their fake injuries. Claims that netted them over a hundred fifty thousand dollars.

If convicted each member of the fraudulent family could spend up to fifteen years in prison.
