IUP Holds G-20 Summit Of Its Own

INDIANA, Pa. —

Professor Jim Dougherty, Ph.D., and students from their IUP Appalachian Studies and Sociology programs decided to have their own meeting of the minds.

All this week, IUP is having a G-20 People's Summit to talk about relevant issues with students and folks from the community.

IUP English Professor Jim Cahalan, Ph.D., will talk about his book "Edward Abbey: A Life."

Edward Abbey was a local environmentalist who Cahalan said made a big impact on our area.

The presentation will happen Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Events will happen the rest of the week and the entire community is invited.
