Jackson Township Donates $10,000 To Museum

A Cambria County museum in the making received a financial boost.

Jackson Township presented $10,000 to the Liberty Museum project in Nanty Glo. The building is being restored to showcase the history of the coal-mining industry in the area, focusing on Nanty Glo, Blacklick, Jackson Township and Vintondale.

The township will pay an additional $10,000 to match future grants. The museum is expected to be open by December 2008.
