JARI Helps Unemployed Across Alleghenies

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

With national unemployment numbers still over 14 million, organization across the Alleghenies are looking to change that for the region.

It seems the highly educated and highly experienced people are filling most of the unemployment numbers.

Johnstown Area Regional Industries representatives created a workshop with the people from Manpower, a group who guides the unemployed.

On Thursday, over 30 people met at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College to tweak their resumes and go over interviewing skills.

Manpower Vice President Brock Kull said these people might have to take pay cuts and work more than they have before, but the key is getting the interview and explaining why no matter how qualified you are that you can do the job.
