JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

One man is in police custody in connection with an overnight shooting in Johnstown.

Jamir Christian is facing aggravated assault charges and several sexual assault charges.

Investigators said the victim is Christian's ex-girlfriend. The woman's condition was not released as of Friday afternoon.

Police responded to a shots-fired call at a home in the 700 block of Cypress Avenue just after 2 a.m.

"Responding to that location, we found one female victim who had been shot in the leg by her estranged boyfriend," said Johnstown Police Capt. Andy Frear.

City police said they picked up Christian on Friday morning after searching for him in the early morning hours.
