Johnstown-Cambria County Airport Wants More Flights For Area

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

Johnstown-Cambria County Airport Authority met with representatives from Pinnacle and Colgan Airlines to talk about getting more flights and lower rates for their customers.

Board members sent out a survey in September to 57 businesses, organizations and travel agencies.

The results show that 80 percent of people drive to Pittsburgh rather than fly out of Johnstown.

Board members hope to change that with the meeting and mixer event they held Thursday.

They invited 200 people of the community to show Colgan and Pinnacle officials they have people willing to fly if they bring in the extra flights.
