Johnstown Company Receives $3 Million From Feds

A Johnstown company has received $3 million from the Department of Justice.

Concurrent Technologies in Richland Township received the funds to work on a program that will help educate and train corrections officers.

According to officials, because of high turnover, the price of training for officers continues to increase each year.

Daniel DeVos, Concurrent president and CEO, said, "Using the advanced technology the CTC has from its defense programs, we're able to leverage this into the corrections environment and significantly reduce the cost."

DeVos said the funds will go toward a continuation of a program the company started last year.
