Johnstown Cracks Down On Vendors

Johnstown —

Johnstown is cracking down on vendors who haven't been paying their mandatory fees and taxes. Nearly half of the vendors at Thunder In The Valley haven't been paying their $10 dollar mercantile fee and a small related tax on sales. Now, the city is going after people that fail to pay their dues. If caught, they could face a $100 peddlers and solicitors license fee and a criminal background check. Officials estimate the city has been losing about $30,000 a year by not enforcing these payments.
